2X4 Wall Spreader

A wall spreader is a two-piece lumber receptacle system that can be used in both vertical and horizontal positions to create clamping points for rigging and lighting. The hardware is placed on each end of a 2"x4" piece of lumber. One end of the hardware is simply a receptacle for the lumber with a wall plate welded to it.  The wall plate is padded to protect the surface it is being applied to.  The other end is also a lumber receptacle with an adjustable, telescoping piece to ensure a tight fit between walls or surfaces.

The wall spreader should be used in line with wall studs or some sort of structural support because the adjustable crank down needs support to avoid pressure damaging whatever surface it is applied to.
