Expressway is here to help. We used to be students too, you know. We remember what it’s like. Being a college student makes you a uniquely qualified customer and Expressway is happy to help you through the process. There are a few things we need from you first, so follow our step-by-step instructions on how to rent from Expressway.

How to Rent

  1. Step 1: Request Your Gear
  2. Step 2: Receive Your Quote / Start-Up Paperwork
      Once you submit your order, a rental agent will promptly email you back with an estimate and our start-up paperwork. Get a head-start on paperwork by following this SignNow Link.
  3. Step 3: Submit Paperwork For Verification
    1. Rental Agreement:
      • Matching Client information on the COI & Rental Agreement
      • Copies of Credit Card / ID
      • Valid References (professors, university equipment office)
    2. Certificate of Insurance:
      • Listing Expressway Cinema Rentals as “Additional Insured and Loss Payee”
      • Need insurance?
        • Ask your school's equipment office/risk management department if rental insurance is offered through your film program.
        • Replacement costs under $5,000: you may be able to get approved for a 15% insurance waiver.
        • Replacement costs under $50,000: you may be able to get approved for our Film Emporium Partnership

  4. Step 4: Confirm & Schedule Pick-Up
    1. Once you’re cleared to rent, our rental agents will confirm your order & pickup time.
    2. Gear will be ready for checkout between 12PM-5PM, but if you need to schedule a pickup outside of those hours it is pending availability.
    3. Camera checkouts can be scheduled prior to arrival, between 10AM-5PM to give you enough time to prep.
  5. Step 5: Have A Great Shoot!
    1. After you’re finished shooting and it’s time to return, keep in mind that gear is set to return by 10am to avoid any late fees. If you know you are going to be late past 12pm, let us know and we will do our best to work with you to avoid fees.
